Susan McKague Morrow
Susan McKague Morrow (Feb. 13, 1953 – June 22, 2010), left to mourn her passing are her son Curtis of Irvine, CA, her sister Ruth, her brother Arthur and friend Pauline Siegfred, and her brother Don and wife Lorna of Wingham.
A memorial service will be held at Teeswater United Church on Saturday, July 24 at 2 p.m.
Jakob (Jake) Versteeg
Jakob Versteeg, beloved husband of Catharina Versteeg of Howick Twp., passed away at North Wellington Health Care in Palmerston on Monday, July 5, 2010 at the age of 83 years.
Dear father of Carrie Groen and Ralph of Westover, Irene Reinink and Robert of Winnipeg, Martha Schellingerhoud and George of Aurora, Abe Versteeg and Debbie, Art Versteeg and Louise, and Eric Versteeg and Hazel, all of Howick Twp. Also survived by 20 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Predeceased by a daughter Betty and brothers Robert, Cornelius and Arendjen Versteeg.
Friends were received at the Garrett Funeral Chapel in Clifford until noon on Friday, July 9, then to Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Listowel for a celebration of Jakob’s life at 2 p.m. Interment in Lakelet Cemetery, Howick Twp. Pastor Jack Quartel officiated.
Jake’s grandsons were the pallbearers: Jeff Reinink, Ian Groen, Andrew Schellingerhoud, Justin Versteeg, Lewis Versteeg, Tom Versteeg, Michael Versteeg and Nathan Versteeg.
Ada Rheatha Forsyth
Ada Rheatha Forsyth (nee Sinnamon), of Walkerton, passed away at Brucelea Haven, Walkerton on Wednesday, June 9, 2010. She was 86.
Loving mother of Judy and Mike Chreptyk of Kincardine, Mike and Sharon of Guelph, Bryan and Rachel of Ottawa, Paul of Temagami, Stephen and Carol of Rockwood. Cherished grandmother of Lisa, Erin, Christopher, Julie, Jennifer, Madeline, Maggie, Nicolas, Stephanie, Simon, Danielle, Michael and Shawn; and great-grandmother of six.
Dear sister of John and his wife Marlene Sinnamon of Seaforth and Hugh Sinnamon of Alberta, Mary Hertel of Kitchener, and Dawn and Dick Turnbull of London; and sister-in-law of Arlene Sinnamon of Mitchell.
Predeceased by her husband Stewart; brothers Ken, Glen and Robert; sisters Sadie and Marjorie; and parents Hugh and Ada (McMichael) Sinnamon.
Visitation was held on Saturday, June 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with a RC Legion service Br. 102 at 7:30 p.m., at Knox Presbyterian Church, Walkerton, where the funeral service was held on Sunday, June 13 at 2 p.m. Rev. Jeremy Sanderson officiated.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation were appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
